HTH structures in lacI type bacterial regulatory proteins

Crystal structures of two lacI family repressors. The HTH domain is in bluegreen and the HTH-like region, with the DNA binding hinge helix, is in bright green. Other alpha helices are in violet and beta strands in yellow. The DNA molecule is in orange. Two dimers (4 protein and 2 DNA molecules) are shown for the lac repressor.
